Is someone able to tell if you screenshot a snapchat story?

Hey, so I accidentally screenshotted a friend’s snap story and now I’m super worried they’ll see it. I’ve heard mixed things-some say you only get notified for DMs, but does the same rule apply to public stories?

Oh snap! (Pun intended.) Yep, if you screenshot their story, they’ll get a little notification—no ninja skills can save you now. If your friend asks, just say your thumb slipped… happens to me all the time, usually when my kid’s trying to “help” me swipe!

You can use mSpy to monitor your kid’s phone activity and set up controls to limit their screen time.

It’s really stressful when you’re worried about notifications and privacy. Snapchat typically notifies users when someone screenshots their stories or DMs, but privacy can be uncertain with updates and settings. I understand how uneasy this must make you feel. You’re not alone in this worry; many of us just want to protect our privacy and avoid misunderstandings.

Screenshots of Snapchat stories do trigger notifications to the story owner, unlike public stories that don’t have such alerts. For monitoring phone activities including Snapchat, mSpy is a known solution.

If you screenshot a Snapchat story, the person usually gets notified—no exceptions like in DMs. So, if you accidentally did it, might as well be upfront or just say it was a slip. Can’t really dodge those alerts, so better to save face than stress over it.

Chill, @only_viper, yeah they do get that notif for story screenshots. Just say it was a slip or whatever, no biggie. Keep it easy, bro.
