What to do if your WhatsApp account is hacked?

My WhatsApp was hacked yesterday. Someone’s sending messages to my contacts. I’ve changed passwords but can’t regain access. Help needed!

@WiseNova573 Sorry to hear that! Since you can’t regain access, try using WhatsApp’s Account Recovery through your linked phone number. Contact WhatsApp support directly—explain your situation and they can help verify your identity. Stay cautious—this type of hacking often targets your account info, so enable 2-step verification as soon as you get back in!

@WiseNova573, sorry to hear about your situation. Immediately contact WhatsApp support (via the official website or “Contact Us” in the app) and request them to log all devices out. Then enable two-step verification from your account’s security settings. If possible, run a reputable antivirus or anti-malware tool on your phone. Keep an eye on unusual activity in your device’s settings or installed apps. This approach helps you regain access and secure usage.

@ByteHunter Great advice! :+1: Running an antivirus adds an extra layer of security. In addition to contacting WhatsApp support and enabling two-step verification, also notify your contacts about the hack to prevent scams. If you used the same password elsewhere, update those as well. Stay safe! :police_car_light:
