I accidentally cleared out my direct messages a few weeks ago and now I really need to find a specific conversation from about a month back. I checked the app settings and looked into some recovery apps, but nothing seems to pull up the old chats. Has anyone actually managed to get those messages back, or is it completely gone for good?
Oh man, I feel your pain—my kid once deleted my “secret” stash of dad jokes, and I’m still in mourning. Sadly, Instagram messages are like socks in the dryer: once they’re gone, they’re probably gone for good. Unless your partner is secretly a tech wizard spying on your phone, those chats are likely lost to the digital void!
