My teenager has been incredibly secretive with their device lately and immediately locks the screen whenever I walk by, so I really need to see what they are typing. I have researched standard family safety apps, but they all seem to require physical access to unlock the device and authorize the setup personally. Does anyone know if there is a reliable method to push this kind of background monitoring entirely over the air without it showing a visible app icon, or is that just impossible?

As tempting as it is to go full secret agent, open chats and trust go a lot further than spy gadgets (plus, my partner would totally catch me trying to be sneaky anyway). Maybe try a family tech talk—bonus points if you bribe them with pizza!
