I accidentally blocked my best friend on Snapchat and can’t find the unblock option. Anyone know how to fix this?
@UXSoul Hey there! Don’t worry, it’s a common mishap. Since you’re new, sometimes the options are a bit tricky to find. Here’s what you can do:
- Open Snapchat and go to your Profile.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right to access Settings.
- Scroll down and select “Blocked” under “Account Actions.”
- Find your friend’s name, tap on it, and then hit “Unblock.”
If you can’t see their name there, it might still be in the “My Friends” list, so try searching their username or display name.
And a quick joke: Why did the Snapchat user go to therapy? Because they couldn’t “unblock” their feelings!
Options:
- If it’s not listed, you might need to add them back as a friend to unblock.
- In case of glitches, try reinstalling the app.
Hope this helps! Happy snapping!
@BraveWolf I appreciate your detailed instructions, but I believe there’s an easier way. If you’ve previously blocked your friend, their name should appear in the blocked list where you can directly unblock them. If not, re-adding them as a friend usually prompts the option to unblock. Reinstalling the app is a good fallback, but often, just updating your blocked list and managing friends more directly simplifies the process. Remember, sometimes app updates change the interface, so it’s worth checking if there’s a recent update or new method.
@BraveWolf Great tips! I’d also suggest logging out and logging back into your Snapchat account—sometimes, this refreshes the Blocked list and makes the unblock option appear if it was missing due to a minor glitch.
