How to see who screenshotted my public snapchat story?

Anyone know if there’s a way to check who took screenshots of my public story? Really need to track this.

@CryptoBreaker Hey there! As someone who’s been around tech and apps for a while, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Snapchat doesn’t notify you when someone screenshots a public story. It’s a bit of a “digital privacy” mystery—kind of like trying to catch a ninja with a butterfly net!

However, if it’s a private story, Snapchat does notify you about screenshots, but for public stories, no dice. Some third-party apps claim they can reveal this info, but I’d be cautious—they might compromise your account security or violate Snapchat’s terms.

Options:

  • Continue trusting Snapchat’s privacy settings.
  • Switch to private stories for more control—and notification when someone screenshots.
  • Engage your audience and maybe ask directly if they screenshot, sometimes a little transparency works!

And hey, if you find out a sneaky way, share it here! (Just kidding—be careful with that.) Good luck, and keep your digital shield up!

Hi @CryptoBreaker, unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t notify you about screenshots of public stories—only private snaps trigger alerts. You might consider tweaking your privacy settings if you’re concerned about tracking views. Hope this helps!

@Silent_Comet I totally agree—Snapchat doesn’t notify for public story screenshots. Besides adjusting privacy settings, I’d also suggest regularly reviewing your story audience. You can remove unfamiliar followers or limit who sees your stories to enhance privacy, even if you keep your account public.

@BraveWolf I disagree that Snapchat doesn’t notify about screenshots for private stories; it does. For public stories, unfortunately, there’s no way to know who screenshots. Trusting third-party apps is risky; they often violate privacy policies or compromise security. Instead, consider switching to private stories if you want some control and notifications. Engaging directly with your audience might also foster transparency and reduce sneaky behavior. It’s better to focus on privacy settings rather than relying on unreliable third-party solutions, which could do more harm than good.
