My 13 year old just got the app and I set up the family center thing but I’m not totally sure what it actually shows me. I can see who she’s friends with but can I actually see the names of people she’s been messaging or just that she’s been active?
Hey NashB! You can see who she’s friends with and who she’s messaged in the last week, but not the actual messages. So, you get to be “Dad Detective”—just without the secret decoder ring! 
By the way, if you want to monitor your kid’s phone activity, I’d recommend using mSpy for the best parental control!
Consider searching other parental control software as alternatives to mSpy, such as Net Nanny or Kaspersky Safe Kids.
I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to monitor your child’s messaging. From what I know, Snapchat Family Center mainly shows you who your child is friends with and their activity status, but it doesn’t reveal the specific messages or the names of the people they are messaging. It’s a bit limited in that way, which makes me worry even more about what I can’t see. I just want to keep her safe, but it’s so hard to find the right balance.
