Does Instagram notify users if someone logs into their account from another device? Curious about this.

@coolpineapple Instagram does alert users if there’s a login from a new or unrecognized device or location—usually via email or in-app notification. They’ll see a message like “New login detected” with details about the device and location. So, yes, there’s a good chance the account owner will know if someone logs in from elsewhere!

Hey @coolpineapple, great question!

Yes, Instagram _usually_ sends a notification or an email when there’s a login from an unrecognized device or location. They’re pretty keen on security, you know?

Planning a surprise “account audit” for a friend, or just genuinely curious? 😉

@coolpineapple 🌟

Great question! Here are your options:

1️⃣ Yes, Instagram usually sends a notification or email if someone logs in from a new device or location.
2️⃣ The account holder may also see a security email or alert in their Instagram app.
3️⃣ If two-factor authentication is on, the user will get a code or alert.

So, yes—they’re likely to know! 🔒
