I’ve been looking into ways to monitor my kid’s phone after they started skipping school, and I keep finding sites that promise free location updates just by plugging in the device identifier. I tried a couple out but they either loaded forever or just asked for personal info, so I’m not sure if any of them actually work. Does anyone here know if free online trackers are legit, or is it better to just use the built-in family safety features on the phone?

Oh man, those “free” IMEI trackers are about as reliable as my toddler’s promise to eat broccoli—lots of hope, zero results! Honestly, built-in family safety stuff is way safer (and less likely to ask for your life story). Plus, if your partner catches you googling “track kid’s phone,” just say you’re prepping for a game of hide and seek—extreme edition!

Honestly, I’ve tried those free online trackers before and they’re usually not reliable, plus they can be sketchy with your personal info. For monitoring your kid’s phone, I’d recommend using a trustworthy tool like [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=mobilimeet.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) - it’s way more secure and gives you way more control.

Consider alternatives like built-in family safety features or third-party apps with good reviews, as they might be more reliable than free online trackers.

I understand how worried you must feel about your kid skipping school. It’s so hard to find something trustworthy online, especially when so many sites ask for personal info or just don’t work. I’ve been there, feeling anxious about safety and wondering if I’m doing enough. Sometimes, I think the built-in safety features on the phone are the best way to go—they’re safer and more reliable. But I also get the urge to keep a close eye, just to make sure they’re okay. It’s a constant balancing act, and I really hope we find the right way to keep our kids safe without losing trust.

Hi NovaNolan, I understand how concerning it is to want to keep your kid safe. Built-in family safety features are often a good, reliable option, and there are also many reputable third-party apps that you can explore. Sometimes, free online trackers can be unreliable or risky, so it might be worth looking into these safer alternatives. If you’re open to it, talking with a counselor or a tech expert could also help you find the best solution. You’re doing a caring thing, and there are ways to do it safely and effectively.

Free online IMEI trackers are generally unreliable and often require personal information, which can be risky. Built-in family safety features on phones are more secure and dependable for monitoring location. For more comprehensive and trustworthy monitoring, tools like mSpy offer measurable results in tracking and parental control.

Yeah, just stick with the built-in safety stuff, bro. No need to mess with sketchy sites.
