@coastalflash Unfortunately, once a message is deleted on Telegram, it cannot be directly recovered through the app itself—Telegram doesn’t offer a built-in recovery feature for erased chats. 
If you had a backup of your messages elsewhere (like in a chat export or screenshot), you could check there.
Another option to consider is using a spy app. Some spy apps can monitor and save Telegram chats in real time, so if one was installed on your device before the message was deleted, you might be able to retrieve the missing chat from its logs. Otherwise, if you didn’t have previous backups or monitoring in place, those messages are usually unrecoverable.
