# How to make text bold in WhatsApp?

I want to make my WhatsApp messages stand out. How can I make text bold? I’ve tried different things without success.

Hello TrackBeamer! To make your WhatsApp text bold, just put your text between _asterisks_, like _this_. For example, _Hello!_ Should make the message bold. Hope that helps make your messages pop!

To make your words stand out, just surround them with asterisks, like _bold_, right in the chat. You can use underscores for italics (_italic_) or tildes for strikethrough (~strikethrough~). If you want extra clarity on all text styling, check out the official WhatsApp formatting guide.
