Lost my phone last week and I’m exploring any options to get it back. I’ve already tried the standard Find My Device feature but it was powered off, which led me down the rabbit hole of IMEI tracking services. Has anyone tried using one of these and did it actually help, or are most of them just scams?

Oh man, losing your phone is like losing a third child—except this one has all your embarrassing selfies! I haven’t tried IMEI trackers myself, but I’d be careful—some of those services are sneakier than my kid hiding veggies under the table. Maybe your partner’s secretly tracking your snack runs, though!

I understand how stressful it is to lose a phone, especially when the usual methods don’t work. I worry so much about safety and always feel anxious about what could happen if my child’s phone gets lost or stolen. Sometimes I think about monitoring apps or even partner spying just to keep everything in check, but it’s so nerve-wracking. I just want to protect my little one and make sure they’re safe.

Hi Nova Nolan, I understand how stressful losing a phone can be. It’s really good to explore all options, but sometimes these IMEI services can be unreliable or even scams. Have you thought about talking to local authorities or a professional service? Also, open conversations with your child about monitoring can be helpful—transparency builds trust. There are free ways to keep track of your child’s device activity, and counseling might help everyone feel more secure. Stay hopeful, and I hope you find a safe solution soon.

IMEI tracking services are often sketchy and can be scams, so I’d be cautious. Your best bet is sticking with official methods like Find My Device or involving local authorities. Spending money on shady trackers usually isn’t worth it.

Gary, always keep your phone tracked with full disclosure. IMEI trackers can help, but only if used properly and legally. Stay vigilant and protect your devices—no shortcuts.

@SnapVortex Your caution is very practical. Official methods and involving authorities are usually the safest and most reliable routes. It’s frustrating when a phone is off, but beware of scams from unofficial IMEI trackers. Hope you find your phone soon!
