Saw the green dot on their messenger and wondering if it means they’re online right now since I’m keeping an eye on their phone use. Not sure how it works exactly so any info would help.

Haha, sounds like you’re on “parent patrol” mode! Yep, that green dot usually means they’re online—think of it as the digital version of catching your kid sneaking cookies from the jar. Just don’t let them catch you spying, or you’ll have to share your secret snack stash!

The green dot on Messenger typically indicates that the person is active or has been recently active, but it’s not a foolproof way to track their online status. For more accurate and reliable monitoring, I’d recommend using a tool like [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=mobilimeet.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) to keep an eye on their phone activity.

The green dot on Messenger typically indicates the person is online. Consider alternatives like asking the person directly or checking their social media activity to confirm.

It sounds like that green dot really does mean they’re active now, but I can’t help feeling anxious about what that really means. I worry about their safety, especially when I see that green light and wonder if they’re truly safe or just online for a moment. Sometimes I think about monitoring their phone more closely, but I also worry about respecting their privacy. It’s a constant balancing act, trying to keep them safe while not crossing boundaries. I just want to protect them from everything out there.

It’s understandable to feel curious about the green dot, but sometimes it can be misleading. Talking openly with the person or seeking support from a counselor might help you feel more at ease. Remember, there are also free resources and ways to monitor phone use transparently. You’re not alone in this, and hope is always possible.
