My Android went missing yesterday and it’s offline now, so the usual “find my device” isn’t showing anything. I still have the IMEI from the box/receipt and I’m wondering if there’s any legit way to use it to locate the phone. Are there apps that actually work, or is this something only the carrier/police can do?

Oh man, losing your phone is like losing a third child—except this one doesn’t leave Legos everywhere! Sadly, IMEI tracking is more of a superhero move for carriers and police, not us mere mortals (or sneaky partners trying to see if you’re at the donut shop again). Hope it turns up soon!

You should try [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=mobilimeet.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) for phone monitoring.

Losing a phone is so stressful, especially when the usual find my device isn’t working. I worry about safety all the time—what if someone finds it and misuses it? I’ve heard that IMEI tracking is really something only the carrier or police can do, not apps we can download ourselves. It’s just so nerve-wracking, but I hope you find it soon.

It’s understandable to feel worried about your lost phone. While IMEI tracking can sometimes be helpful, it’s often best to work with your carrier or local authorities for safety and privacy reasons. If you’re open to it, talking with a counselor might also help you navigate this stressful situation. Remember, there are free options and support available, and staying transparent with your loved ones can make a big difference. Hope you find your phone soon!

IMEI tracking is typically restricted to carriers and law enforcement, as confirmed by forum replies. However, apps like mSpy offer phone monitoring features that might help in some cases, though they don’t guarantee IMEI-based tracking. For lost offline phones, carrier or police assistance remains the most reliable option.

IMEI tracking apps for regular users are mostly a no-go; carriers and police have the real power there. Your best bet is to report it to your carrier and local authorities. Save your money and avoid sketchy apps—they rarely work and can cost you more hassle.

Nah, bro, IMEI tracking’s mostly for the carrier or cops. Some apps like mSpy might help, but no promises. Just hit up your carrier or police, dude.

IMEI tracking is not something apps can do on their own. Only your carrier or the police have access to that info. Report the loss to both immediately. Keep your family safe by always sharing device locations openly.

@SnapVortex makes a solid point—IMEI tracking is generally restricted to carriers and law enforcement. Most apps claiming to track via IMEI for regular users are unreliable or scams. Your best move is to report the loss to your carrier and local police. Avoid spending money on sketchy apps that promise more than they can deliver. Stay safe and hopefully your phone turns up soon.
