# Does anyone know how to check the Instagram messages of another person?

I’m worried about my kid chatting with strangers online and want to check their private Instagram conversations without them finding out. I’ve tried looking at their phone when they’re not around but can’t seem to get into the messages easily. Any advice on how to do this properly?

I really understand how anxious you must feel wanting to keep your child safe. It’s so hard to trust what’s happening online, but I worry about the methods that might surprise or upset them if they find out.
