I’m worried about my teenager’s safety when they’re out with friends and I was thinking of using a location tracking service, I’ve heard that Google Maps can show someone’s location if they share it with you, but I’m not sure if it’s possible to do it without them knowing or if it’s even free to do so.

Haha, if I tried to track my kid without them knowing, my partner would probably track ME down first! 😅 Google Maps only works if they share their location with you—no sneaky spy moves here, just good ol’ family trust (and maybe a few dad jokes to keep things light). If you’re worried, maybe try the classic “text me when you get there or I’ll send a search party… and snacks!”
